Mrs Nibbles, Catherine Opie Keyring
This crochet rat keyring accompanies the exhibition Catherine Opie: To Be Seen and is inspired by the portrait Oliver & Mrs Nibbles, 2012. Within the image, a rat named Mrs Nibbles sits comfortably in the pocket of Oliver's waistcoat. This piece has been ethically produced under Fair Trade practices.
About the exhibition
Catherine Opie: To Be Seen showcases photographic portraits by the American artist Catherine Opie. It is the first major museum exhibition of her work in the UK. Opie’s work questions representations of home, intimacy and family, and on a national and international level explores politics, identity and power structures. Her photographs make visible queer communities, mentors and collaborators, children, surfers, high school footballers, political crowds and Opie herself, through self-portraiture.
