Director and Producer. Daldry began his stage career in youth theatre in Taunton, before attending Sheffield University. In 1990 he was appointed artistic director of the Gate Theatre, London, and at the age of only thirty-two became artistic director at the Royal Court Theatre. He directed the long running, award-winning revival of J.B. Priestley's An Inspector Calls and David Hare's monologue Via Dolorosa.
