Brydon first came to public attention in 2000 co-writing and performing in the television mockumentaries Marion and Geoff and Human Remains. As 'Uncle Bryn' in the comedy drama Gavin and Stacey he performed the Comic Relief number one single Islands in the Stream (2009). Brydon has collaborated with Steve Coogan on numerous occasions.
