Comedian and entertainer. Throughout his sixty-year career in British comedy, Dodd appeared on radio, television and theatre, entertaining family audiences with Diddy Men, tickle-stick (feather duster) and the catchphrase 'How tickled I am'. He made his professional debut in 1954 at the Empire theatre, Nottingham as Professor Yaffle Chuckabutty, Operatic Tenor and Sausage Knotter.
