Critically-acclaimed and award-winning poet. Nagra was born in Yiewsley, Hillingdon, to immigrant Sikh Punjabi parents who came to London in the 1950s. The family moved to Sheffield in 1982 when his parents bought a small business there. Nagra was first inspired to write poetry at 19 after picking up a copy Songs of Innocence and Experience by William Blake.
