Adam Fox was Professor of Poetry at Oxford, Dean of Divinity at Magdalen College, Oxford, and Canon of Westminster Abbey. He was one of the members of the Oxford Inklings literary group founded by C.S. Lewis. Fox published many scholarly and critical books, and several works of poetry including Old King Coel: A Rhymed Tale in Four Books (1937).
