Record producer, vocalist, and musician. Bristol-born Tricky had a difficult childhood when his Jamaican father left before his birth and his Anglo-Guyanese mother died when he was aged four. Raised by his grandmother, he began writing lyrics aged 15 but a prison-term at 17 turned things around for him as he realised he never wanted to go back.
