Radcliffe is best known for playing the title role in the films of Harry Potter, which he first took up in 2001. This ongoing role has won him worldwide acclaim and several awards. Radcliffe first appeared on British television in 1999 in the title role in David Copperfield for the BBC. His film debut was in John Boorman's The Tailor of Panama (2001). Later projects include December Boys (2006).
