Son of Lala Gunga Ram Chopra, a prominent vakil before the Punjab courts, Iqbal Chopra and his two siblings were reared from early childhood by their widowed mother. Iqbal attended King's Inn, Dublin and Middle Temple. He worked as a barrister in Lahore High Court. He emmigrated to East Africa where his eventually changed when he was instructed to take care of the legal affairs of Canadian Geologist Dr. John Thorburn Williamson, an independent prospector who went on to discover the most extensive diamond deposit.... more
