Austrian-born ballerina and actress Tilly (Ottilie) Losch danced with the Vienna State Opera Ballet (1921-8), including in Max Reinhardt's 1927 Salzburg Festival production of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. She toured with Reinhardt's theatre and ballet ensemble to New York (1927-8), before founding her own company Les Ballets (1933).
