Emu was found languishing in a prop room in 1969 and climbed to worldwide fame after 1970 when Hull returned to England in his shows Rod Hull and Emu, Emu's World, EBC and Emu-TV, guesting on Royal Variety performances, This is Your Life and, most memorably, the Parkinson Show.
