Milly Childers exhibited at the Royal Society of Arts from 1894 to 1904. She was daughter of Hugh Culling Eardly Childers MP for Pontefract. (A portrait of him by his daughter is in the National Portrait Gallery collection, NPG 1631). Through her father's connections Milly was commissioned to paint 'A Scene on the Terrace of the House of Commons' in 1909, in which Sir Benjamin Stone appears.
