Cliff came to prominence in the late 1950s at the age of eighteen with his debut single 'Move It' (1958), which reached No. 2 in the UK chart. He achieved his first No. 1 record in 1959 with Lionel Bart's ‘Living Doll’, and went on to have a string of hits in the early 1960s including 'Summer Holiday' (1962).
