Probably Anthony Trollope or Henry Trollope NPG 3906b

© National Portrait Gallery, London

by Auguste Hervieu

It is not known whether this portrait depicts Anthony Trollope or his elder brother Henry, who in 1832 were 17 and 21 respectively. The absence of comparable portraits of either sitter at this early date makes it very difficult to confirm identification.
