Princess Augusta of Cambridge was the daughter of Prince Adolphus, 1st Duke of Cambridge and his wife Princess Augusta of Hesse-Cassel. She had one brother Prince George, 2nd Duke of Cambridge and a sister, Princess Mary of Cambridge, later the Duchess of Teck.
