Actress and singer. Born Sarah Ann Isaac in Liverpool, she made her first appearances on the music hall stage at the age of eleven under the name Marion Isaac. She studied at the Royal Academy of Music and made her London stage début in 1880 as 'Mabel' in The Pirates of Penzance.
