Lady Balfour became a leader of the constitutional suffragists and was one of highest ranking members of the aristocracy to fiercely campaign for women's rights. The daughter of liberal politician George Campbell and married to Eustace Balfour, brother of Prime Minister Arthur Balfour, she drew on her political connections to gain support for her campaigns.
