This print shows Grisi as Elvira and Lablache as Sir Giorgio in Bellini's I puritani performed in London in 1835. The London production of I puritani was renowned for the remarkable performances of Grisi, Lablache and fellow singers Giovanni Rubini and Antonio Tamburini; known as the 'Puritani quartet'. This print was originally bound in the volume Recollections of the Italian Opera (1836).
