In 1990, writing for the Daily Telegraph, Farson was invited by the artists to accompany them to the opening of their exhibition in Moscow, curated by James Birch. Operating as one artist, Gilbert Proesch (b.1943) and George Passmore (1942) have worked together since they met in the 1960s when they were both studying at St Martin's School of Art, London.
