Professor of Genetics, Department of Biochemistry, Oxford University (1995-98), elected as Dr Lee's Professor of Anatomy, Oxford University in 1998 and established the MRC Functional Genomics Unit in 1999. Davies has worked in the field of human genetics since 1980, her research leading to the mapping and characterisation of disease genes including muscle wasting diseases.
