Le Journal des Dames et des Modes (Paris) was an early French fashion magazine founded, edited and published by philosopher, author and journalist Pierre de la Mésangère until his death in 1831. It was published every 5 days with at least one, and from 1798, two plates headed 'Costumes Parisiens' to keep abreast of the now rapid changes in fashion.
