Adriaen Hanneman was a Dutch painter best known for his portraits of the exiled British royal court. His style was strongly influenced by his contemporary, van Dyck. Born in The Hague, Hanneman studied under portrait artist Anthony van Ravestyn. He worked in England from around 1626-1638, when he returned to The Hague.
