London-born author. Heller was educated at Oxford University and Columbia University in New York. Her first novel, Everything You Know, was published in 1999. Her second novel Notes on a Scandal (published 2003) was shortlisted for the 2003 Booker Prize. A columnist for over ten years for the Independent on Sunday, Sunday Times and currently the Daily Telegraph and was named Columnist of the Year for 2002. She lives in New York with her husband and two children.
