This caricature marks the commissioning of the ocean liner Cedric for the White Star Shipping Line. The Cedric and her sister ship the Celtic were palatial passenger liners that sailed the Atlantic. Among the most successful of her time, she was 21,035 gross tons and 700 feet long.
