Photographed in the garden of her home in Florence, the Villa dell'Ombrellino. At the time of this photograph, Trefusis was writing her memoirs, Don't Look Round (1952) and her book Pirates at Play (1950), set among the rich and fashionable English living in Florence, had just been published. Published in The Tatler and Bystander, 20 December 1950.
