After Alexander Bassano's retirement, Bassano Ltd reopened in 1903 with refurbished premises. This photograph shows the studio's staff decades later in 1950. In 1962, the firm incorporated Elliott & Fry (founded in 1863), and in 1963 it merged with the Vandyk Studio (founded in 1882). There were further studio moves to 38 Dover Street and 78 Wigmore Street, London.
