Television, film and theatre actor; winner of the BAFTA Television Award for Best Actor 1994, 1995 and 1996 for his role as psychologist Fitz in Cracker and Cracker II. His film appearances include Absolute Beginners (1985), Nuns on the Run (1989) and Goldeneye (1995). He is also known for playing the role of Hagrid in the Harry Potter films.
