Influential musician and lead singer and songwriter for the glam rock band Roxy Music since the early 1970s. The band enjoyed success with three number one albums and ten top-ten singles in the United Kingdom. Together with his work as a solo artist of smooth pop music, Ferry has sold over thirty million albums worldwide. He was described by David Bowie as one of the best lyricists in British music.
