Charlie Gosling

I saw Charlie Gosling's work when he exhibited at the first Incubator show. Incubator is a
gallery founded and curated by Angelica Jopling to show the work of new young artists. I
bought a painting. Charlie Gosling is an artist who I immediately loved. His work does remind me a bit of Lucian's and it is completely original. His work ethic is similar to Lucian's too, he works every minute of the day and sees people through the lens of painting. - Bella Freud

Santanna Xavier-Wade

I met Santanna Xavier-Wade at a life drawing class organised by Charlie Gosling, where I was one of the models. At the end of the session we got the chance to buy the works, and I bought Santanna's charcoal portrait she made of me. It has a Picasso-esque intensity that I responded to with affinity, and now hangs on my wall. She is one of a new generation of artists driven by that craving to paint and draw that overrides everything else in life. - Bella Freud

Angelica Jopling is the founder of Incubator Gallery, an art space situated on Chiltern St, London, which exclusively shows the work of new, young artists. She is at the forefront of a new movement to show the work of young artists, focusing on illuminating their talent and making it possible for them to build a reputation and income. She is a brilliant eye in a world that has become a little jaded.
