Polish-born Stanislawa trained at the Académie Julian in Paris from 1896. A painter of townscapes, interiors and still-lifes, she combined a modernist concentration on colour and form with elements of Polish folk art. Although closely associated with both the Fitzroy Street and Camden Town groups, as a woman she was not eligible for membership of either.
