This engraving was made after Mary's death, and was probably based by the engraver, Elstrack, on her effigy in Westminster Abbey, which itself derived from the Hilliard miniature. Elstrack's print was made as part of a series of portrait prints of Kings and Queens of England, plus some other related royals, called the Baziliologia, published in 1618.
