At the time of this photograph, Elliott had completed filming The Heart of the Matter (1953), adapted from the Graham Greene novel, and The Cruel Sea (1953). Photographed outside the Royal Albert Hall, London. An alternative pose was published in The Tatler and Bystander (21 January 1953) in the fashion feature 'Curtain Call for Savile Row'.
