Linda McCartney grew up in New York and studied Art History at the University of Arizona where she started taking photographs at the Tucson Art Centre. She took photographs for more than thirty years, embracing a wide range of subjects, and has been exhibited in major galleries around the world. While on assignment in London in 1967 she first met Paul McCartney; they were married two years later. 

Born in Liverpool, McCartney reached international fame in the 1960s as a member of The Beatles, before becoming leader of the group Wings and a successful solo career. McCartney is one of the most distinctive lyricists in popular music. Outspoken vegetarian and activist, McCartney is a patron of a number of international charities. A seminal influence on popular culture, he was knighted in 1997.
