by Samuel William Reynolds, published by Henry Graves, after Sir Joshua Reynolds
Fitzpatrick succeeded his father to the earldom in 1758 but as it was an Irish peerage, it did not entitle him to a seat in the British House of Lords. He was instead elected to the House of Commons for Bedfordshire in 1767, a seat he held until 1794. In 1794, he was created Baron Upper Ossory, of Ampthill in the County of Bedford, in the Peerage of Great Britain, which gave him a seat in the House of Lords.
Card size: 125mm x 175mm
