Actress and singer. Clark began career as a child star entertaining the troops during World War II. Had her own radio series Pet's Parlour (1943) and made her film debut 1944. Clark's 1950s hits included The Little Shoemaker (1954), Suddenly There's a Valley (1955), With All My Heart and Alone (both 1957). During her pop career she has received ten gold discs for hits including Downtown (1964). Later films include Finian's Rainbow (1968) and Goodbye Mr Chips (1969).
