Lucy Duff Gordon was a prominent fashion designer and dressmaker and founder of the fashion house 'Lucile'. One of the first world famous British fashion designers, she created the "mannequin parade", a precursor to the modern fashion show. Lucile became a major international brand, famous for its tea gowns, eveningwear and lingerie, with branches in New York, Chicago, Paris and London.
