Bernard Haitink Greetings Card
Blank greetings card with envelope featuring:
Bernard Haitink NPG 6719
© National Portrait Gallery, London
by Michael Reynolds
Michael Reynolds made three visits to the conductor's home in Lucerne, Switzerland where this portrait was produced entirely from life. Reluctant to sacrifice valuable working time, Haitink chose to be painted in his study at work on Mahler's Sixth Symphony, which was performed by the Staatskapelle Dresden at the Barbican. 'An intensely moving performance because of its architectural integrity and musical momentum' wrote Tom Service in The Guardian.
Card size: 125mm x 175mm
Images are printed in their original proportions, within a white border.
