With Henry Dickins, owner of the Regent Street shop Dickins & Jones, as its foreman, and the remainder consisting of tradesmen and publicans, the Tichborne criminal trial's jury was notably less aristocratic than that in the first trial. Yet both juries became a focus for popular sympathy and amusement due to the trials' length.
