Churchill graduated in Natural Science from Girton College, Cambridge, in 1905 and qualified in medicine from the London School of Medicine for Women in 1917. Her medical career focused on women and children and in 1920 she became Assistant Medical Officer for Health for Maternity and Welfare at Bermondsey. After retiring she became interested in medical psychology and was appointed psychotherapist to the Tavistock Clinic and West End Hospital for Nervous Diseases.
