Baden-Powell stands on the left at a public engagement In Farnham. Baden-Powell had relations who lived in the town and whilst visiting them decided he would like to live in the area. He was shown a house in nearby Bentley called Blackacre Farm which he bought in 1918 changing its name to Pax Hill. This became the family home until 1938 when he moved with Olave to Kenya.
