Andrea Levy Unisex T-Shirt
Organic cotton unisex t-shirt featuring Andrea Levy.
Novelist. Born in London to Jamaican parents. Levy began writing in her early thirties after studying textile design and becoming an avid reader. She was the author of a number of novels which explore the problems faced by black British-born children of Jamaican emigrants. Her first novel, the semi-autobiographical Every Light in the House Burnin' (1994), is the story of a Jamaican family living in London in the 1960s. She followed this with Never Far from Nowhere (1996) and In Fruit of the Lemon (1999). Levy's novel, Small Island (2004), set in 1948, explores the interaction between a black couple and a white couple in post-war Britain.
