Celebrated for his monumental, stylised sculptures and portraits characterised by simplified form, Scottish-born Dick trained at the Glasgow School of Art and Lambeth Art School. From 1908, he exhibited regularly at the Royal Academy, becoming an Associate in 1921 and a Royal Academician in 1928.
