In 1908 Keynes took up a lectureship in Economics at Cambridge and was the editor of the Economic Journal from 1912 to 1945. His works, notably The Economic Consequences of the Peace (1919) and General Theory of Employment, Interest and Money (1936), led to the establishment of 'Keynesian economics'.
