Actress. Born in Hackney, Trevelyan made her first stage appearance at the age of twelve and, in 1899, toured in The Little Minister by J.M. Barrie, a dramatist who profoundly influenced her long career. Trevelyan specialised in the role of appealing waif or buoyant soubrette, charming audiences with a mixture of comedy and pathos.
