British-Armenian surgeon, Darzi obtained his fellowship in Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons and a M.D. degree from Trinity College, Dublin. He holds the Chair of Surgery at Imperial College London and the Paul Hamlyn Chair of Surgery at the Royal Marsden Hospital. Darzi's work concerns the advancement of minimal invasive surgery, using surgical robots and image guided surgery.
