Edward Shortt was a politician who served as a member of David Lloyd George's cabinet. In 1890, Shortt was called to the Bar by the Middle Temple, of which he was elected a bencher in 1919, and joined the north eastern circuit. He entered Parliament as a Liberal MP in 1910.
