Sculptor. Born to Italian parents in Leith, Paolozzi studied at both the Edinburgh College, and Slade School of Art between the years 1943-7. In 1952, after spending several years working in Paris, Paolozzi was one of the founding members of the Independent Group in London. This lead to his inclusion in the exhibition This is Tomorrow at the Whitechapel Gallery in 1956.
