Born in Nottinghamshire, Alexander Weatherson finished his art education in London at the Royal Academy Schools and the Courtauld Institute. Victor Musgrave represented Weatherson at Gallery One from 1955, giving him his first solo exhibition in February 1958. His paintings, collage and mixed media works were often influenced by music.
