This photograph appeared as a photogravure in April 1891 in an issue of Sun Artists that ran a special feature by John Addington Symonds on Evelleen Myers's photography. This journal sought to 'reproduce the best work of the best photographers in the best possible manner' and championed the cause of portraiture photography against the traditional bias to favouring painted portraits.
