Attended Bedford College in 1884 studying physics, chemistry, botany, biology and physiology. Practised in London hospitals and married surgeon Sir James Berry in 1891. Together they described their work during the First World War in A Red Cross Unit in Serbia (1916), where they established six hospitals for wounded soldiers and refugees for the Anglo-Serbian hospital unit.
